Grants

About

The eResearch Portal Grants and Awards (“Grants Portal”) provides a single solution for the handling of all proposal and award processes on campus. The portal is UGA’s method to submit federal proposals through grants.gov.

All proposals submitted to external sponsors must be processed through the portal.

The goal of the Grants Portal is to simplify the administrative processes involved in proposal creation and processing, to ease the burden these processes place on faculty, and to serve the University community better via streamlined processes, transparency, and better communication. The portal provides these benefits by:

• Providing UGA investigators a single web portal, accessible at any time from any place, through which they can prepare, certify, and submit proposals and manage awards;

• Improving the efficiency and accuracy of proposal development, proposal submission, and award management processes;

• Automating processes that connect proposal and award activities with compliance processing.
